Ride with Pals

Ride with Pals complete guide

Ride with Pals is the app for cycling, running and triathlon clubs, riding groups and shops: organise rides, manage members, collect membership fees and sell club kit in one place. This guide explains all its features, plans and prices.

Updated on 30-10-2026

1. What Ride with Pals is

  1. Ride with Pals is a platform to organise group sport and manage sports clubs: rides, members, membership fees, club shop, news, discounts, a second-hand marketplace and a chat for each ride, all in one place.
  2. Slogan: "Move together."
  3. Who it is for:
    • Athletes who want to find group rides near them, join clubs and meet people in their area.
    • Cycling, running and triathlon clubs, riding groups and informal groups of friends.
    • Bike and running shops, coaches and local organisers who want to bring their community together.
  4. Sports and disciplines:
    • Cycling: road, gravel and MTB.
    • Running: road and trail.
    • Swimming: pool and open water.
    • It also works for triathlon and for any sport where a group meets to follow a route (for example hiking or skating), although the categories in the app are the ones above.
  5. Platforms:
  6. Languages (13): Spanish, English, Catalan, Basque, Galician, French, Italian, Portuguese, German, Dutch, Danish, Swedish and Norwegian. The language is changed in the profile.
  7. Club currencies: euro (EUR), US dollar (USD), pound sterling (GBP), Swiss franc (CHF) and Norwegian krone (NOK). Each club chooses its own.
  8. Company: Next Pals, S.L.U., a company based in Zaragoza (Spain). The app is made by a small team of cyclists that started in their own riding group, tired of losing routes, meeting points and sign-ups among hundreds of WhatsApp messages.
  9. Problems it solves:
    • Chaotic WhatsApp groups where routes, times and important notices get lost.
    • Phone numbers exposed in open groups and no control over who joins.
    • Collecting fees by hand with bank transfers, mobile payments, cash and spreadsheets.
    • Selling club kit without a channel of its own.
    • No trusted second-hand marketplace.
  10. It is both a sports social network (rides, chat, marketplace) and a real club management tool (membership fees, shop, permissions, organisation).

3. Account types and app views

  1. There is one account per person. With it you are an athlete (athlete view) and, if you create or manage a club, you can switch to the club view.
  2. Athlete view (app bottom bar):
    • Home: scheduled public rides near you, clubs, marketplace and more.
    • Rides: the rides of your clubs, with filters.
    • Calendar: all the scheduled rides of your clubs at a glance.
    • Chat: ride chats and private messages.
    • Profile: your details, settings, purchases, listings, saved routes, support and legal.
  3. Club view (for the owner, full access and administrators):

    • Orders: club shop orders.
    • Club profile: club details, billing, wallet, subscription.
  4. The web has the same split: athlete interface and club dashboard. You switch with the interface button.

4. Plans and prices

4.1 Summary

There are two separate paid plans: one for people (Premium) and one for clubs (Gold Club). The membership fees each club charges are something else and have nothing to do with these plans.

PlanForPriceWhat it includes
Free athletePeople€0Join clubs, find rides, sign up with one tap, create rides, chat for each ride and private messages, 1 active listing in the Marketplace.
Premium AthletePeople€14.99 a year (launch offer, normal price €24.99)Everything in free plus GPX route downloads, unlimited Marketplace listings and the Premium badge: an orange ring with the Ride with Pals logo around the profile photo.
Free clubClubs€0 forever, no cardUp to 15 members (the owner counts), rides, routes with map and meeting point, news, discounts, ride chat, permissions and roles.
Gold ClubClubs€89 a year (launch offer, normal price €130)Unlimited members, membership fee collection, club shop, paid rides, special price for paid-up members, several administrators and leaders, Gold badge (golden ring around the club logo) and golden pin on the map.

Notes:

  1. You do not need Premium to create a club. Just sign up for free as an athlete and then create the club on the free or Gold plan.
  2. You can start for free and change plan whenever you want.
  3. The app has no advertising on any plan.
  4. Launch offer: the prices of €14.99 (Premium) and €89 (Gold Club) a year apply to anyone who subscribes until 31-12-2026. After that they move to the normal price: €24.99 a year for Premium and €130 a year for Gold Club.
  5. Anyone who subscribes now with automatic renewal (Premium in the app or on the web, and Gold on the web) keeps the launch price on renewals as long as they do not cancel.
  6. Gold bought inside the app is a one-year purchase that does not renew automatically: the following year it is bought again at the price in force at that time.
  7. Premium and Gold holders get any new features added to their plan at no extra cost.
  8. Prices are in euros and include the taxes shown by the store or the payment screen. On the App Store and Google Play the price may appear in your local currency depending on your country.

4.2 Premium (athletes)

  1. What it gives you:
    • GPX route downloads from rides, to send them to your bike computer or watch. Without Premium, tapping download GPX shows the invitation to upgrade. Viewing the route on the map is free for everyone.
    • Unlimited Marketplace listings at the same time (1 active listing on the free plan).
    • Premium badge: an orange ring with the Ride with Pals logo around your photo, visible throughout the app (participants, leaders, members, leaderboards, chats, orders and marketplace).
  2. It is a yearly subscription that renews automatically every year unless you cancel it.
  3. Where to buy it: in the app (Apple or Google in-app purchase) or on the web by card.

4.3 Gold Club (clubs)

  1. What it gives you:
    • Unlimited members (no 15 member cap).
    • Membership fees: create fees, collect them online with Stripe, mark payments by hand and see who is up to date (section 9).
    • Club shop with online payments (section 10).
    • Paid rides and event registrations (section 7.8).
    • Special price for paid-up members on paid rides and in the shop, and rides for paid-up members only.
    • Several administrators and ride leaders.
    • Gold badge: golden ring around the club logo (no longer a crown) and golden pin on the map.
    • GPX route downloads are not included in Gold: they are Premium only (per person).
  2. Gold is per club. If you manage several clubs, each one needs its own Gold.
  3. Who can buy it: the club owner or a person with full access.
  4. To collect money (fees, shop, paid rides), besides Gold the club needs to connect its own Stripe account, which is free (section 14).
  5. How it is paid:
    • In the app (iPhone and Android): a one-year purchase for that club. It does not renew automatically; after a year it has to be bought again.
    • On the web: yearly card subscription that renews automatically every year unless cancelled.
  6. Value: a single membership fee or one kit sale pays for the whole year. On the web there is a calculator ("Does Gold pay off for your club?") that compares what members' fees add up to with the price of Gold.

4.3.1 Buying Gold in the app or on the web: differences

Gold bought in the app (iPhone or Android)Gold bought on the web (ridewithpals.com)
How it is paidWith your Apple or Google accountBy card
LengthOne year for that clubYearly subscription
RenewalDoes not renew automatically. When the year ends it is bought againRenews automatically every year until cancelled
Price on renewalThe price in force when it is bought again (from 2027, the normal €130)Keeps the price it was taken out at (€89 if taken out during the launch offer) as long as it is not cancelled
Promo codesCannot be usedYes, in "Add promotion code" at checkout
CancellingNot needed, it does not renewFrom the subscription section of the web

What to recommend: a club that wants to keep the launch price for good, or that has a promo code, is better off taking Gold on the web before 31-12-2026. Anyone who prefers to pay for one year with no renewal commitment can buy it in the app. Gold features are the same in both cases.

4.4 Free club limit (15 members)

  1. A free club allows up to 15 approved members, counting the owner.
  2. When the club reaches 12 members, the owner and anyone with full access get a notice that it is almost full.
  3. When it is full, nobody else can join until the club moves to Gold or someone leaves. The owner gets a club full notice.

4.5 What happens when Gold ends

  1. For 15 days after Gold ends (grace period) everything keeps working the same.
  2. After those 15 days, if it is not renewed:
    • Members no longer see the paid items in the shop (the owner still sees them, marked as paused).
    • Fee reminders are sent without a payment link, and fees and paid rides cannot be paid online.
    • Fees that already had automatic card renewal keep being charged.
  3. The owner gets a notice when Gold ends and another when the grace period ends.
  4. Nobody is removed from the club because of this.

4.6 How to cancel, renew or use a promo code

  1. Premium bought on iPhone: iPhone Settings, your name, Subscriptions, Ride with Pals. You must cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
  2. Premium bought on Android: Google Play, Payments and subscriptions, Subscriptions.
  3. Premium or Gold bought on the web: from the subscription section of the web (ridewithpals.com), which opens the billing portal.
  4. Gold bought in the app does not renew automatically, so there is nothing to cancel.
  5. Promo codes: they can only be used when paying on the web (ridewithpals.com, Subscription section), in the "Add promotion code" field of the payment screen. They do not work for Apple or Google in-app purchases. Each code has its own conditions (plan, expiry, first purchase). If a code does not work, write to hello@ridewithpals.com.
  6. Right of withdrawal: subscriptions bought through Apple or Google are managed with the corresponding store. The full conditions are in the Terms and conditions (https://ridewithpals.com/terms).

5. Fees and costs

  1. Ride with Pals keeps 4 % (VAT included) of each transaction made inside the app between the club and the user through Stripe: membership fees, paid rides and the club shop. It is a service fee that covers the management and maintenance costs of the platform.
  2. On top of that, Stripe charges the club its own fee. Roughly 1.5 % + €0.25 per payment with standard European cards; premium cards or cards from outside Europe cost a bit more. The Stripe fee is paid by the club.
  3. The money goes straight to the club's Stripe account and from there to its bank account. Ride with Pals does not hold clubs' money.
  4. Before paying, the payment screen shows the total amount.
  5. The Marketplace has no fee: payment is made outside the app.
  6. Payments marked by hand (cash, bank transfer, mobile payment) have no fee, because they do not go through Stripe.
  7. If the club refunds a payment, it does so from its Stripe account; the 4 % fee is not refunded.
  8. Example: a €50 membership fee paid with a standard European card. Ride with Pals fee €2.00; Stripe about €1.00 (1.5 % of €50 = €0.75 plus €0.25); the club keeps about €47.00.

6. Account, sign-up and profile

6.1 Sign-up and login

  1. Ways to log in: email and password (with a 6 digit verification code sent by email), Google, or Apple (on iPhone).

    4. Choose between going into the app or creating a club.
    5. If you create a club: set it up, choose a plan (free or Gold) and, if you want to collect payments, connect Stripe now or later.
  3. If you forget your password, the login screen has "Forgot my password".

6.3 Deleting your account

  1. From Profile, Delete account. You confirm by typing the word the app asks for.
  2. If you own a club, you must first transfer the club to someone else or delete it.
  3. If you later log in again with the same email or Google account, a brand new account is created from scratch.

6.4 User card

  1. Tapping someone's photo or name (in members, ride participants, chats) opens their card: member since, country, description, public clubs and a button to message them.
  2. Email, phone and date of birth are only visible to the owner, full access holders and administrators of a club that person belongs to. Other members cannot see them.

7. Rides

7.1 What a ride is

A group sports meet-up with a date, time, meeting point and, optionally, a GPX route. It can be inside a club or public (open to people outside). You can create one without belonging to any club.

7.3 Who can create rides in a club

  1. The owner, full access holders and anyone with the "Post rides" permission (members have it by default, but the club can remove it).
  2. Only the owner, full access holders or an administrator can create paid rides or turn a ride into a paid one. If someone else tries, the app warns them when saving.

7.4 Recurring rides

  1. They can repeat every week on chosen days, every two weeks or every month.
  2. A required end date, at most 12 months after the first ride.
  3. All the dates are created when you save.
  4. When deleting a recurring ride, you choose to delete only that day or that day and the following ones.

7.5 Maximum places and waiting list

  1. Optional. If a maximum is set, nobody else can sign up once it is full. The creator counts as one place.
  2. When the ride is full, "Join the waiting list" appears.
  3. If someone drops out, everyone on the waiting list is notified (notification, email and in-app notice) and the first person to sign up gets the place. This notice always arrives, even if you have other notifications turned off.

7.6 Special rides

  1. Women and non-binary people only: only those who have Woman or Non-binary set in their profile can sign up. They carry their own badge.
  2. Paid-up members only: only members whose membership fee is up to date can sign up.
  3. Private or public: a club ride can be for the club only or public so that people from outside can join.
  4. Several clubs: a ride can be published at once in all the clubs you belong to. It has a single chat for everyone and "+N" appears next to the club to see all the clubs where it is published. More clubs can be added when editing it.

7.7 Signing up, rating and attendance

  1. Signing up is one tap. When you sign up the app suggests sharing the ride so your friends come along.
  2. In the participants list you can open each person's card and message them.
  3. After the ride, participants confirm whether they attended (in the app or with the link in the email). That attendance counts towards the club Leaderboard.
  4. Rides can be rated and problems can be reported.
  5. You can leave a ride at any time before it starts.

7.8 Paid rides

  1. Requirements: Gold club, connected Stripe account and being the owner, full access holder or an administrator.
  2. A price is set and optionally a price for paid-up members (one for all fees or one per fee).
  3. The participant pays by card when signing up and gets a receipt by email.
  4. Useful for event registrations, workshops, trial days or rides with services.
  5. If someone pays just as the places fill up, they still get in.

7.9 Editing, duplicating and deleting

  1. Editing a ride: only the person who created it. Nobody can edit someone else's ride, not even the owner.
  2. Deleting or cancelling someone else's ride: owner, full access or administrator.
  3. If a ride is in several clubs, editing one copy updates the others.
  4. Reuse: you can create a new ride from a previous one or from a saved route, choosing the club.

  2. GPX download: Premium (section 4.2).
  3. Ride chat (section 12).

7.12 Sharing a ride

  1. As a link: when pasted into WhatsApp or other apps it shows a preview with an image of the ride (route track or club cover). If the person opening it has the app, it opens in the app.
  2. As an image for Instagram Stories or WhatsApp: portrait or landscape, with the track, with a photo, without a photo or with a transparent background, and a preview before sharing. It shows kilometres and meeting time, plus elevation gain, pace, places or price if they exist.

  2. Details: name, logo, cover photo, description, sport, location, currency, club website (optional, shown in Contact) and whether it is public or private.
  3. When it is created, the app offers to share the club with a message ready to paste into the WhatsApp group.
  4. Plan: free (up to 15 members) or Gold.

8.2 Public and private clubs

  1. Public club: anyone can join directly (if it is not full).
  2. Private club: to get in you send a join request that the club approves, or use a join code.
  3. What a non-member sees of a public club is limited; members' contact details are never visible to non-members.

8.3 Inviting and joining

  1. Club link or QR code to share on WhatsApp, social media or in person.
  2. Join codes (private clubs): the club creates codes with an expiry date (or no expiry), a usage limit and active or inactive status. You can see how many times each one has been used and revoke them.
  3. Join requests: they reach whoever manages the club by notification and email, who accepts or rejects them. The person who asked gets notified.
  4. Both options (request and code) can be used together.
  5. In club management, the Members tab gives direct access to pending requests and join codes.

8.4 Roles and permissions

  1. Owner: full control. The only one who can delete the club, transfer ownership and remove someone with full access.
  2. Full access (co-owner): can edit the club and billing, connect or disconnect Stripe, manage fees, shop and permissions, buy Gold and give or remove full access to others. When granting it, the app asks for confirmation by typing a confirmation word.
  3. Administrators: the club decides what they can do among these permissions: Post rides, Post news, Post discounts, Accept or remove members. They cannot manage fees or connect Stripe. You can appoint as many administrators as you want.
  4. Members: the club decides whether they can Post rides, Post news and Post discounts.
  5. Ride leaders: assigned on each ride.
  6. Permissions are independent of fees: paying the fee or not does not change what someone can do in the club.

8.5 Member management

  1. Member list with each member's fee status (for whoever manages the club).
  2. Accept, reject or remove members (depending on permissions).
  3. Promote to administrator.
  4. The member count shown on the club card is the real one (approved members, owner included).

8.6 Transferring ownership

  1. The owner can hand the club to another member from the club menu.
  2. The connected Stripe account belongs to whoever connected it: payments keep going there until it is disconnected and another is connected. If there are no active fees, it can be unlinked when transferring.

8.7 News

  1. Channel for official club notices (cancellations, rules, news).
  2. Each post shows its author and can be commented on, with the conversation grouped like a forum.
  3. Anyone with the Post news permission can publish.

8.8 Discounts

  1. The club publishes offers from partner shops and sponsors for its members: title, description (with clickable links), code (optional; some discounts have no code), percentage or amount, and expiry date.
  2. They are shown as a tear-off ticket or as a list, and there is a search box.
  3. Anyone with the Post discounts permission can publish.

8.9 Leaderboard

  1. Ranking of club members by number of rides attended and by kilometres, with filters by period (for example, the month).
  2. It is based on confirmed attendance at club rides (section 7.7). It does not use Strava.
  3. Only approved members can see it.

8.10 Club wallet

History of the club's fee payments and shop purchases.

8.11 Custom integrations

For clubs with their own website, a custom integration that syncs paid-up members between the club's website and the app can be considered. Ask by writing to hello@ridewithpals.com.

9. Membership fees (Gold Club)

9.1 What they are

  1. Membership fees belong to the club, not to Ride with Pals. They are used to manage what members pay the club (yearly or another period).
  2. They are independent of Premium and Gold.
  3. They require Gold Club. To collect online, Stripe must also be connected. Without Stripe, payments can be recorded by hand.
  4. Only the owner and full access holders manage fees.

9.2 Creating a fee

  1. Name (for example "2026 annual fee" or "Junior fee"), amount and included benefits.
  2. Length: fixed dates (season, the same for everyone) or from the payment date (each member has their own period).
  3. Options: allow online payment with Stripe, allow recording payments by hand, automatic renewal.
  4. It can be saved as a draft and published later.
  5. A club can have several fees.

9.3 Collecting

  1. Send payment requests to one member, several or all: they get a notification and an email with a link to pay by card.
  2. Record a payment by hand (cash, bank transfer) with an optional note or reference.
  3. Mark a member as exempt.
  4. Remove a fee assigned by mistake (if it is unpaid).
  5. Automatic reminder 15 days before it expires; paying early does not lose any days. Notice when it expires.

9.4 Statuses

  1. Paid, Expiring soon, Pending, Not renewed, Exempt and No fee assigned.
  2. In the fee summary, tapping Paid, Pending or Not renewed shows the list of who is in each status.
  3. The club dashboard shows members with pending payments.

9.5 What happens if a member does not pay

The app does not remove anyone automatically. The member moves to "Not renewed" and stays a member of the club. By default the only change is that they will not get the special member price or be able to join "paid-up members only" rides.

If the club wants to go further, it can restrict features for anyone whose fee is not up to date (see 9.6). And if it wants someone to leave the club, the owner, a full access holder or an administrator with permission to remove members does it from member management.

9.6 Restricting features for members whose fee is not up to date

  1. Where: in Edit club (on the web, the Edit club button on the club dashboard; in the app, Edit club from the club profile). The owner or anyone with full access can change it.
  2. First turn on the main switch "Restrict members who have not paid" (in the app, "Restrict access for members with pending payments"). Then choose what is restricted (in the app, the "Require an up to date membership fee for..." switches):
    • Rides and events: anyone whose fee is not up to date cannot sign up for club rides.
    • Club shop: they cannot buy in the official club shop.
    • Club discounts: they do not see the club's discounts.
  3. Counted as up to date: Paid, Expiring soon and Exempt. Unpaid Pending, Not renewed and No fee assigned are restricted.
  4. The owner and club managers are not affected.
  5. It makes sense with membership fees, which need Gold Club.
  6. It is different from marking a single ride as "paid-up members only" (7.6): that only affects that ride; the Edit club restriction affects all of them.

9.7 For the member

  1. The club's fees are shown in the club Overview, also before becoming a member (to pay you must join or request to join first).
  2. Paying a fee is not a join request: you must be an approved member first.
  3. Members see their fees and status in Profile, My clubs.

10. Club shop (Gold Club)

  1. Requirements: Gold club and Stripe connected. The owner and full access holders publish items.
  2. Items: up to 8 photos (the first is the main one), description, price, special price for paid-up members, sizes with available units per size and gender (optional).
  3. Delivery: local pick-up only, paid shipping or free shipping.
  4. The buyer pays by card, can leave comments on the order and gets a receipt by email.
  5. Orders: the club sees them in the Orders tab, with statuses (in progress, completed, cancelled) and "Mark as delivered". The buyer is notified when the status changes and sees their orders in Profile, My purchases.
  6. Useful for selling official kit, jerseys, products and event registrations.
  7. Cancelling an order in the app does not refund the money automatically: the club makes the refund from its Stripe account.

11. Marketplace (second hand)

  1. Buying and selling second-hand sports gear between athletes and club members.
  2. Posting: title, description, price, condition (New, Like new, Good condition, Fair, Well used), up to 8 photos. It can be posted in several clubs at once and counts as a single listing.
  3. Limit: 1 active listing at a time on the free plan; unlimited with Premium. Reactivating a sold listing counts towards the limit.
  4. To buy, you contact the seller by chat; the app fills in a message of interest in the language of the listing.
  5. Payment and delivery are agreed between the people, outside the app (in person, mobile payment, bank transfer...). The app does not process the payment, charges no fee and does not guarantee the deal.
  6. Your listings are in Profile, My sales. There you mark them as sold, edit them (editing updates the copies in other clubs) or reactivate them.
  7. Selling stolen goods, counterfeits, weapons, medicines, illegal substances or dangerous products is forbidden.

12. Chat and messages

  1. Chat for each ride: for the people going on that ride (logistics, photos, questions). A ride published in several clubs has a single chat.
  2. Private messages: one to one chat between people. Each person decides whether to allow new private messages.
  3. Comments on club news, like a forum.
  4. Features: reply to a specific message (long press or swipe right), reactions (heart, thumbs up, thumbs down), clickable links, line breaks, photos.
  5. Chat with the support team in Profile, Support and help.
  6. There is no general club chat. This is on purpose: clubs already use other channels for that, and the app organises conversation by ride and official notices in News.

13. Notifications and emails

  1. Push notifications in the app (iPhone and Android). The web does not get push notifications.
  2. Notifications screen (in the profile): push and email switches by type of notice (new rides and changes, fees, shop orders, requests, etc.). Ride chat, private messages and club news are push only.
  3. These cannot be turned off: notices from the Ride with Pals team, support and the free place notice from the waiting list.
  4. Usual automatic emails: verification code, join requests and their answer, new ride in your club, attendance confirmation, payment request and fee reminder, fee paid, fee expired, receipts for paid rides and shop purchases, order status changes.
  5. Emails arrive in each person's app language.

14. Payments and Stripe

  1. Club payments (fees, shop, paid rides) are made with Stripe, a secure payment platform. The club needs a free Stripe account and connects it from the app or the web (Club, Stripe). It can be done when creating the club or later.
  2. The money reaches the club's Stripe account and from there its bank. Ride with Pals does not hold the money.
  3. Who connects or disconnects Stripe: the owner or full access holders.
  4. Payment methods: all online payments inside Ride with Pals (fees, paid rides, shop, and Premium or Gold on the web) are made with Stripe, a secure payment platform that accepts the main debit and credit cards worldwide. The app does not accept PayPal, mobile payment apps or bank transfers as online payment. Anyone who wants to pay a fee in cash or by transfer can do so directly with the club, which records it by hand.
  5. Premium and Gold bought in the app are paid through Apple or Google. On the web, by card through Stripe.
  6. Refunds: for fees, paid rides and the shop, the club decides and makes them from its Stripe account. Ride with Pals is not the seller of those products or services.
  7. Invoices: Ride with Pals issues invoices for its fee and for Premium and Gold subscriptions. Invoices for the club's fees or products are the club's responsibility.

15. Privacy, security and rules

  1. A member's contact details (email, phone, date of birth) are only visible to the people in charge of their clubs.
  2. The app only asks for location while in use, and to sort by distance.
  3. Content or people can be reported from the app or by writing to admin@ridewithpals.com. Ride with Pals may remove content or suspend accounts that break the rules.
  4. Users keep the rights to what they post.
  5. The app has no advertising tracking.
  6. Full legal texts: Terms and conditions (https://ridewithpals.com/terms), Privacy policy (https://ridewithpals.com/privacy), also in the app (Profile) and on the web (legal notice, cookies, community rules).
  7. Unsubscribing from marketing emails: link in every email, app settings or writing to admin@ridewithpals.com.

16. Support and contact

  1. Inside the app: Profile, Support and help (chat with the team or email).
  2. Email: hello@ridewithpals.com.
  3. Privacy, reports and unsubscribing from communications: admin@ridewithpals.com.
  4. The team helps set up the club, the first recurring ride and the invitation for members. It also looks into custom solutions.

Why can't I sign up for a ride?

It may be full (join the waiting list), for paid-up members only, for women and non-binary people only (and you have not set that gender in your profile), from a private club you are not a member of, or a paid ride.

How do I join a private club?

With the link or join code the club gives you, or by sending a request that the club will approve.

How does the waiting list work?

For clubs

Do I need Premium to create a club?

No. You sign up for free as an athlete and create the club on the free or Gold plan.

How many members does a free club allow?

15, counting the owner. With Gold, unlimited.

What do I need to collect membership fees or run paid rides?

Gold Club, a free Stripe account and connecting it to the app.

Can I track fees by hand without Stripe?

Yes. With Gold you can record cash or bank transfer payments by hand, or use Stripe to collect them online. Both ways can be used together.

Does the app charge a fee?

Only on payments made through Stripe (fees, paid rides and shop): 4 %, VAT included. Stripe charges its own fee separately (about 1.5 % + €0.25 with standard European cards). The Marketplace and payments recorded by hand have no fee.

Can I create recurring rides?

Yes: weekly (on the days you choose), fortnightly or monthly, for up to 12 months.

Is there a club chat?

There is no general club chat. Each ride has its own chat, there are private messages between people, and club news can be commented on like a forum.

How do I move my WhatsApp group over?

Create the club, create your weekly ride and paste the club link into the group with the message the app suggests. Your members download the app, tap the link and sign up.

Is it better to buy Gold in the app or on the web?

The features are the same. On the web it is a yearly subscription that renews automatically and keeps the price you signed up at (€89 if you sign up before 31-12-2026) and accepts promo codes. In the app it is a one-year purchase that does not renew: the next year you buy it again at the price at that time (€130 from 2027). See 4.3.1.

Do I keep the launch price?

Yes, if your plan renews automatically (Premium in the app or on the web, Gold on the web) and you do not cancel it. Gold bought in the app does not renew, so the next purchase is at the price in force.

What happens if I do not renew Gold?

15 days of grace with everything the same. After that, the shop is paused for members and online collection of fees and rides stops; fees with automatic renewal keep being charged. If the club has more than 15 members nobody is removed, but no new members can join.

Can I change the club owner?

Yes, the owner transfers it from the club menu.

How does the shop work?

With Gold and Stripe connected, the club publishes products with photos, sizes, member price and shipping or pick-up. Members buy by card and the club manages the orders.

Marketplace

How do I buy in the Marketplace?

You contact the seller by chat and agree on payment and delivery outside the app. There is no card payment in the app.

How many listings can I have?

1 active at a time for free; unlimited with Premium.

Does the Marketplace charge a fee?

No.

Can I use a promo code?

Yes, when paying for Premium or Gold on the web (ridewithpals.com), in "Add promotion code". They do not work for in-app purchases.

Can I pay with PayPal or a mobile payment app?

Will you refund a fee, ride or shop purchase?
